Why you need at least 20 buy-ins for any particular level you play.

I saw your post about losing to quads Kev and thought you might get a kick out of this.

This was such a small raise out of SB for this particular player, I expected him to be very strong so decided to push and make it look like AK. Everything worked out except for the results, lol.

Here's another one from the same table 20 minutes later.

Set over set your getting stacked every time, unless you hit quads of course.
Btw, I was playing 6 tables at the time and almost timed out so hit the raise button real quick and I think default is a min-raise. Usually make it $84 or $96 in that spot.

I know what you mean I was all in last night when I hit a set of 3's off the flop, second set I hit all night after almost 1k hands, and only set they called me with. AK hit the board and I was putting them on AK for the hand, since I was the main aggresser, well they had pocket AA and beat me with a larger full house as well. Good lesson learned there.

Later I put someone on a draw on the turn, so I shoved and was thinking they won't call if they are on a draw, well I was wrong, he needed a 5 to hit his straight, atm he had air, well that turn card hit and it was indeed a 5. Couldn't believe it, those were my huge loses last night, I still ended up +2.30 so I'll take it since I don't feel I was to lucky with cards last night, and first 20 minutes tables kept breaking down non-stop.

so tonight was my night to suck out, pair of 66 vs kk, hit a 6 on the turn on a three way potvs small and medium stack. Up $20 in 40 minutes so I stopped to come out and drink for awhile. Nice quick break and my enhanced bankroll is up to $131 not bad I started with $70 and am almost ready to hit my bonus. Up $15 on full tilt as well. Last 10 days I have got so much better at my game it's sick I watch replays and am like why did I do that, it was the right move but I'm not even sure why. It's like the commercial when u start doing it so much it becomes second nature. I'm going to wait till 30x the buyins before going to the next level and hey if I'm winning it shouldn't be a problem.

I had a hand the other day that I mentioned to Kev:

All folds to the button who raises 4xBB to me in the BB and I call with pocket 5's. Flop comes 6/A/5 and I check, he checks. Turn comes a flush card so I bet in case he had A/X to hit draw and he re-raises pretty big so I push. River comes the other 5 and he had pocket aces...

20 buyins can be such a grind at the low limits but I agree with setting it as a minimum requirement.
