I would say in both cases the underdog got lucky so I wouldn't say the first hand villian was a bad player...since you were the underdog in the 2nd hand and sucked out the win ;)
Maybe in the first scenario he thought he was up against A/K and believed his 7's were good. Either way, his move all in was justified since he would've been pot committed after a call. Even if he just called you both would've been all in before the hand was over and he got a lucky turn.
I'm curious to know why you made the call in the 2nd hand? Especially after you were re-raised after your re-raise. Just because he made a silly move previously doesn't mean he can't catch good cards.
I do look at the players a lot and consider if they have the goods. A lot of times people will go all in with any pair or even Ax at this stake. I think more then not I get paid off in less the players starts are somewhat tight. The first player was bad I seen him showdown garbage before that his VP was like 70%. The second one was a different player and that I did get lucky. Played another round after that and lost a bunch of mid size pots to really put a hit on my bank roll. Going to try another session now and try to tighten up some more. I notice 2 mistakes in a session and put me in the red so hopefully none this one.
So third session went back up, so up $7.40 for the day, not bad I was down over $30 for the second session when I just got out of control. I do feel I was to loose but I did tighten up and it paid off, plus I caught some cards. I'm really learning a lot with every mistake I make, I'm very slowly going up which is nice cause I am getting so much experience as I go. I just wish I had even more time to give for this. Hopefully I start winning more consistently. I'm at 14.7k hands, only about 6k in this stake. I think another 6k hands and I should be more steady and up on my game some more. Guess we will see in time.
